Catch a Monster Valentine Event 2026: Complete Guide

The Valentine 2026 event is one of the biggest updates in Catch a Monster history, adding new monsters, a new evolution (Solron), the Pet Gear system, and a brand-new Valentine Rift. Here is everything you need to know before the event ends.

Event Overview

Event Currencies: Roses & Chocolates

Two new currencies were introduced for the Valentine event:

Roses Earned through grinding kills in the event area Use code rose for a free 500 Roses to start Can be exchanged for Chocolates at a rate of 300 Roses = 100 Chocolates

Chocolates The premium event currency used in the Valentine Shop Community feedback: shop prices are considered quite high Can also be purchased directly with Robux (199 Robux for 2,100 Hearts/currency)

Community note on the exchange system: The 300:100 rose-to-chocolate ratio has been widely criticized as too steep. Many players are saving roses rather than converting, hoping for better event items or rates before the event ends.

Gildron

Source: Gildron Egg (from Valentine event boss area or event shop) Max rank before Feb 20: A-rank. S-rank added in the Feb 20 update Key feature: Can be evolved into Solron (see below)

Floradelle & Frost Floradelle

Source: Valentine King Egg (most common drop) Rank from egg: A-rank (approximately 1-in-2 chance) or S-rank (approximately 1-in-3 chance) Two variants: standard Floradelle and Frost Floradelle

Kitsunine

Source: Valentine Rift / Kitsunine Rift Role: Stun + DPS — currently one of the best monsters in the game Gear: Gale Wingblade (Mythic-tier Pet Gear designed specifically for Kitsunine) Skill note: Stun ability occasionally misses — known bug, expected to be fixed Spire passive: Provides -30% damage buff for your entire team while in Spire

Liodan

Source: Valentine Rift (alongside Kitsunine) A secondary Rift drop; less desired than Kitsunine. B+1 and S rank reported.

Unihorn

Source: Unihorn Egg (Valentine event) Unique: Has a special neigh sound when hatched Horse-type monster

Inferron

An alternate Gildron evolution form or variant Reversion Potion can revert Inferron back to Gildron

Solron Evolution Guide

Solron is the standard evolution of Gildron and the most-discussed new content in the Feb 20 update.

Required Materials

The bottleneck is the 21 Refined Ground Gems. Farm Aurobull on Dunevil Isle (15-minute respawn, server hop to increase rate).

Valentine Rift

The Valentine Rift is a new Rift type added with this event, featuring Kitsunine and Liodan.

Access requires Valentine Rift Portals (available from the event or Spire Shop) Boss HP scales with player count (same as Red Rift) Use the Private Server + 2–3 player strategy for best efficiency Carry requests are common in the Discord #chat channel

Kitsunine Rift is also available as a separate standalone Rift focused entirely on Kitsunine farming.

Pet Gear System (New)

Pets can now equip gear items that boost their stats Gear comes in 5 tiers: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Legendary, Mythic Roll gear using coins at the Craft Store Gale Wingblade is the Mythic-tier gear made for Kitsunine
