Catch a Monster Pet Gear Guide (2026)
The Pet Gear system was introduced in the February 20, 2026 Valentine update. Gear items are equippable accessories for your monsters that provide stat boosts, adding a new layer of optimization to team-building. Here is everything you need to know.
What is Pet Gear?
Pet Gear are equippable items that attach to individual pets to boost their combat stats. Each pet has a gear slot that accepts one gear item at a time.
Gear Tiers
Gear comes in five quality tiers, from weakest to strongest:
| Tier | Color | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| :--- | :--- | :--- |
| Common | White | Basic stats, easy to get |
| Uncommon | Green | Slightly better than Common |
| Rare | Blue | Decent stats, first noticeable improvement |
| Legendary | Gold/Purple | Strong stats, farmable |
| Mythic | Special | Highest tier, best stats, monster-specific versions |
How to Get Gear
Method 1: Gear Event Tab
A dedicated Gear Event tab is accessible in the UI Limited-time gear rewards and drops are available here Check this tab regularly for high-quality gear opportunities
Method 2: Craft Store (Rolling)
Visit the Craft Store (main hub area) Spend coins to roll for random gear Expected cost for Mythic-tier gear: approximately 4–5 million coins per roll attempt Gear quality is random — you may get Common through Mythic from any roll
Tip: Given the coin cost, prioritize rolling gear only after you have a maxed-out endgame team (A-rank monsters with good EM%). Gear is the final optimization layer, not the first.
Notable Gear Items
Gale Wingblade (Mythic)
Designed for: Kitsunine specifically The premiere Mythic gear item added with the Valentine event Significantly enhances Kitsunine's performance in Rifts and the Spire If you have a strong Kitsunine, farming for Gale Wingblade is a top priority
Gear Management Tips
Locking gear: You can lock gear items in your inventory to prevent accidental selling. Always lock your Legendary and Mythic tier gear immediately.
Auto-selling: The community heavily requests an "autosell Common/Uncommon/Rare (blue and below)" feature. Until that is added, manually manage lower-tier gear in your inventory regularly.
Gear and fusion warning: There is a known bug where gear gets stuck if you feed or fuse a pet while the gear is still equipped. Always unequip gear from a pet BEFORE fusing or feeding it to another monster.
Coins Strategy for Gear Rolling
Since gear rolling costs coins, here are the best ways to earn coins in bulk:
Rainy weather: +30% bonus coins from all sources — farm during rain Boss farming: Bosses drop 5,000–15,000 coins per kill Event bosses: Higher coin drops than standard bosses AFK on highest affordable island: Passive coin income while offline
As a reference, community players estimate needing 50–100 million coins to reliably roll Mythic gear. Treat it as a long-term goal rather than something to rush.
Known Bugs (Feb 2026)
Gear gets stuck when fusing/feeding while equipped (workaround: unequip first) Certain gear items show incorrect stat values in the UI Legendary gear sometimes gets auto-sold despite being locked (rare but reported)
What the Community is Requesting (March 2026)
Mythic Gear Pity System: The absence of any pity mechanic for rolling Mythic gear is the most frequently requested feature in the #suggestions channel. Players report spending millions of coins with zero Mythic drops. No pity system has been announced yet.
Trait Reroll: When rolling gear, both tier and traits are random. A Mythic drop with poor traits (e.g., +Coin Drop instead of +ATK%) is extremely frustrating given the coin investment required. A trait reroll item or NPC is widely requested so that Mythic rarity is not wasted on bad traits.
Sell Lower Tiers Button: Players request an option to auto-sell all gear below a chosen tier (e.g., sell all Common/Uncommon/Rare automatically). Currently inventory management is fully manual.
