Catch a Monster Tier List (February 2026)
The meta in Catch a Monster has evolved significantly since late 2025. The February 2026 updates introduced Eclipse Knight, Undine, Kitsunine, and Mechavolt as the dominant endgame monsters. This tier list ranks every major monster for Endless Spire, Boss Farming, and Rift content.
Current Best Team (February 2026 Meta)
The strongest general-purpose team right now is:
Eclipse Knight A + Undine B + Eclipse Knight A
For Rift content, swap one Eclipse Knight for Kitsunine for additional stun.
S Tier — The Endgame Meta
Eclipse Knight
Role: Tank / Shield / DPS Why S Tier: Exceptional shield mechanic that absorbs damage for the whole team. A-rank with 10 ascensions (A+10) is the current pinnacle. Secret Evolution of ShadeKnight — requires RNG gem combo. How to Get: Evolve ShadeKnight with 3x each Refined Gem type + 8x Refined Water Gems (RNG success rate, avg. 10–25 attempts). Best For: Everything — Spire, Rifts, Boss Farming.
Undine
Role: Stun / Support Why S Tier: Best stun ability in the game. Undine B-rank beats Tidevex A-rank in actual combat performance. Essential for controlling Rift bosses. How to Get: Only obtainable from Red Rift or Tideland Rift — cannot be caught in the wild. Best For: Rifts, Tidevex/Mechavolt boss fights.
Kitsunine
Role: Stun / DPS Why S Tier: Added in the February 2026 Valentine update. Excellent stun that gives your team critical breathing room in Rifts. A+10 possible. Gear: Gale Wingblade (Mythic). How to Get: Valentine Rift / Kitsunine Rift. Best For: Rift content, Spire floors 80+.
A Tier — Strong Picks
Glazadon
Role: Balanced Bruiser Why A Tier: Considered the best naturally obtainable boss monster. Great HP/Damage balance. Not weak to Earth counter on Spire floor bosses. How to Get: Glazadon Egg from defeating Glazadon boss on Frost Isle (15 min respawn). Best For: Boss farming, mid-Spire.
Mechavolt
Role: High DPS Why A Tier: Massive damage output but requires support (Undine stun) to perform best. Hard to obtain — only from Red Rifts. How to Get: Red Rift only.
Tidevex
Role: Water DPS/Tank Why A Tier: Strong for Tideland content. Max rank A from egg. Drops Vitalium Stones used for Lunavox evolution. Note: Outclassed by Undine in most endgame scenarios.
B Tier — Solid Mid-Game
Mountusk
Role: Tank / Healer Why B Tier (Feb 2026): Still useful for early-to-mid Spire with Heal Pulse. Falls off at Floors 80+ where Eclipse Knight dominates. Weakness: Takes 200% damage from Earth-counter bosses.
Flarecrest
Role: DPS Glass Cannon Why B Tier: High burst damage. Good for speed-killing bosses if you have another tank. Outclassed by endgame options.
Starshade
Why B Tier: One of the earliest endgame targets. Possible evolution coming (Feb 27, 2026 update rumored). Good for new players, outclassed in late game.
C Tier — Early / Niche
Gingerjoy (Historical note)
Was S+ tier during the December 2025 event. A D-Rank Gingerjoy dealt ~154k damage, stronger than most B-ranks at the time. Power level has been surpassed by Feb 2026 endgame monsters.
Lunavox
⚠️ Currently Bugged — Not Recommended Expensive to evolve (Noctane B + Vitalium Stones). Taunt is broken, stays at backline, first skill deals 0 damage. Range was partially fixed in Feb 2026 but still inconsistent. Recommendation: Wait for a full patch before investing materials.
Hidden Tier: Flora
Flora (Florella)
Special Note: Flora is technically the strongest wild monster in the game at D-rank (~60,000 damage), approximately 2x stronger than Gingerjoy at the same rank. Spawns: ONLY during Aurora + Night weather simultaneously, on the small island LEFT of Neverland spawn point. Rarity: Extremely rare — it is the rarest natural spawn in the entire game.
