Catch a Monster Mythic Gear Farming Guide (2026)

The Pet Gear system (introduced February 20, 2026) adds a critical layer of optimization on top of monster rank and EM%. Mythic-tier gear offers the biggest stat increases, but the path to obtaining it involves significant coin investment and RNG. This guide explains the Gear Hall mechanics, realistic cost expectations, and how to prioritize your resources.

Why Mythic Gear Matters

At endgame, every stat point counts. The difference between a Legendary and a Mythic gear piece on your Eclipse Knight or Kitsunine can be the difference between clearing a Spire floor and wiping.

Gear TierRelative PowerTypical Acquisition Cost
:---:---:---
CommonWeakNear-zero
UncommonSlightly betterVery cheap
Rare (Blue)Noticeable improvementLow–Medium
Legendary (Gold/Purple)StrongMedium (grindable)
MythicBest-in-slotVery expensive (50–100M coins)

How the Gear Hall / Craft Store Works

The Craft Store (located in the main hub) is the primary way to roll for gear. Here's how it works:

  1. Visit the Craft Store NPC in the hub
  2. Spend coins to roll a random gear piece
  3. Each roll gives one gear item — quality is random from Common to Mythic
  4. Gear items have both a tier (quality) and traits (the specific stat bonuses)

Current coin cost per roll: Approximately 4–5 million coins per roll attempt (community-confirmed as of March 2026).

Important: The cost is for a single roll, not a guaranteed Mythic. Most rolls will return Common–Legendary gear. Mythic drops are rare.

Mythic Gear Drop Probability

The exact Mythic drop rate has not been officially published by the developers. Based on community data:

Rough estimate: ~1–3% per roll for Mythic tier Expected coin cost for one Mythic drop: 50–100 million coins Note: Some players have spent over 200 million coins without receiving a Mythic — the RNG has no pity system

Community response: This is the most-requested feature addition in the Suggestions channel — a Mythic pity system after a certain number of rolls. It has not been added as of March 2026.

Traits System

Every gear piece, regardless of tier, also rolls for traits — the specific stat bonuses it provides. Both the tier and the traits are randomised independently.

Why this matters: A Legendary piece with excellent traits (e.g., +ATK% and +Crit Rate%) can outperform a Mythic piece with poor traits (e.g., +Coin Drop and +Pet Storage). Traits change which gear is "best" for your setup.

Trait Reroll

As of March 2026, there is no trait reroll mechanic in the game. This means: If you roll a Mythic with bad traits, you cannot fix it You would need to roll another Mythic with better traits and equip that one instead

The community has widely requested a Mythic trait reroll item so that the rarity of Mythic gear doesn't get wasted on bad traits. Watch patch notes for this feature.

Coin Farming Strategy for Gear Rolling

Since rolling gear requires vast quantities of coins, here are the most efficient methods:

Passive Income

Rainy weather: +30% coin bonus from all sources — run your best AFK farming zone during Rain Boss farming: Each boss kill drops 5,000–15,000 coins alongside drops AFK on highest affordable island: Persistent coin trickle even offline

Active Grind

Event Bosses: Provide the highest per-kill coin value in the game Server-hop boss routes: Maximise boss kills per hour by jumping between servers Rift rewards: High-end Rifts drop significant coin pouches as boss rewards

Weekly benchmarks for Gear Rolling

Coins/dayDays to 50MDays to 100M
:---:---:---
500K/day100 days200 days
1M/day50 days100 days
3M/day (active grind)17 days33 days

This underscores why Mythic Gear is a late-game goal. Don't sacrifice Arcane Stones or evolution gems to fund gear rolling.

Gear Management Tips

Always lock Legendary and Mythic gear immediately — they can be accidentally auto-sold Known bug: Gear gets stuck if you fuse/feed a pet while gear is equipped. Always unequip gear before any fusion or feeding action Sell Common–Rare gear regularly — inventory fills up fast with low-tier drops from rolling Don't equip gear on monsters you plan to fuse soon — unequip first to avoid the stuck-gear bug

Priority Order: Should You Roll Gear Now?

Not yet if: Your main team monsters are below A-rank Your EM% is below 190% on your core monsters You haven't maxed your weekly Arcane Stone purchases

Yes if: Your top monsters are A-rank with 190%+ EM You have Kitsunine and want Gale Wingblade You have 50M+ coins saved with more accumulating

Gear is the final optimization layer. Get your monster foundations right first.
